The terms you agree to when you order from us.
These are the terms you agree to when you buy from The Cookware Outlet. We've written them in plain English rather than legal boilerplate, because terms you can't read protect nobody.

Our business office is in Selbyville, Delaware. Orders ship from within the United States, and returns go to the Delaware address.
What we sell, and what we are not
We sell genuine, brand-new, unused cookware bought as surplus, overstock and closeout stock.
We are an independent retailer, not an authorized dealer. We are not affiliated with, authorized by, endorsed by or sponsored by HexClad or any other manufacturer. We use brand names only to identify the goods we sell. All trademarks belong to their owners.
This matters to you in one concrete way: the manufacturer's warranty may not apply to anything you buy from us. Our own guarantee does, and it's set out on the returns page. We tell you this before you buy rather than after.
Prices and availability
Prices are in US dollars and exclude sales tax, which is added at checkout where it applies.
Where we show a higher price struck through alongside ours, it carries a label so you know exactly what it is, and we only show it where we have checked it ourselves:
- List — the manufacturer's own current list price for the same item.
- Compare — the current price for the identical item at another major retailer. We use this only where the manufacturer does not sell that exact configuration, so there is no list price to quote.
Neither is a price we previously charged.
Stock changes. If something sells out between your order and our packing it, we'll tell you promptly and refund in full. We will never substitute a different item without asking you first.
If a price appears on the site in obvious error, we may cancel the order and refund you rather than fulfill it. We'll tell you what happened and why.
Your order
Adding something to your cart and paying is an offer to buy. Our acceptance happens when we email you to confirm the order has shipped. If we can't accept it, we refund you in full.
Payment
Payment is processed by Stripe. We never receive or store your card details.
Delivery
Rates, timings and where we ship are on the shipping page. Delivery estimates are carrier estimates, not guarantees.
Risk passes to you on delivery. If a parcel arrives damaged, tell us within 7 days with photographs and we'll put it right — see returns.
Returns
Thirty days, unused and in its original packaging, for a full refund. You pay return shipping. The full policy is on the returns page.
Using cookware safely
Cookware gets hot and is used around heat, oil and water. Please:
- Follow the temperature limits and care instructions supplied with the item. Glass lids generally tolerate far less heat than the pan itself
- Assume handles get hot, especially in an oven or under a broiler
- Don't put cookware in a microwave
- Keep pan handles turned inward on the stovetop, away from children and walkways
- Let a hot pan cool before washing it — thermal shock can warp a base
Our responsibility to you
We are responsible for loss you suffer that is a foreseeable result of us breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We are not responsible for loss that isn't foreseeable, or for indirect or consequential loss — for example lost profits, or the cost of a meal that didn't work out.
Where the law allows us to limit what we owe you, our total liability for any order is limited to the amount you paid for the item concerned.
Nothing in these terms limits or excludes:
- liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence
- liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation
- any rights you have under consumer protection law that cannot be waived
Some states do not allow the exclusion or limitation of certain damages, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Your statutory rights as a consumer are not affected by anything on this page.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms. The version that applies to your order is the one published when you placed it.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States. That does not deprive you of the protection of any consumer law that applies where you live.
